Our International Operations Section manages our Global Mining Accounts and ensures we continue to be one the world’s leading OEMs.
To strengthen our global support structure, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our International Operations Section (IOS) team. Based in Brisbane, the role will be an internal supporting role to our IOS team, dealers, and global technical teams to ensure the reliability of Hitachi machinery throughout all global regions by providing aftersales product support, specialising in high voltage.
This permanent role will enable you to use your experience to support our global network, whilst providing the opportunity to promote your skills at a global level.
Reporting to the International Dealer Support Manager you will be responsible for:
- Performing diagnostic evaluation and electrical maintenance service support on a broad range of Hitachi machinery both excavator (EX) & truck (EH) models.
- Providing input with the introduction of new equipment, as well as troubleshooting and fleet performance reviews on existing equipment, and/or training as required.
- Providing technical product support directly to our IOS onsite technical teams and dealer technical personnel as required.
- Liaising with technical support staff at factory level to achieve the most efficient outcomes and assist in product improvements.
- Compiling relevant documentation and data in conjunction with area of expertise.
- Assisting our Global Accounts managers, commercial teams, marketing units, etc. with technical guidance for managing customer enquiries and/or product deficiencies.
- Maintaining good working relationships with dealers, peers, and other factory departments.
- Identification of continuous improvement opportunities within your area of responsibility.
To be successful you will need:
- A strong safety focus and to be a leader in adhering to both Hitachi and customer safety processes.
- Relevant trade certificate – High Voltage Electrician advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of the Hitachi truck (EH) drive system and excavator (EX) electrical power systems will be highly regarded for this application.
- Intermediate PC skills with the ability to analyse technical data and reports.
- Self-motivated and organized, with a strong ability to adapt yourself to different teams, environments, cultures, and workloads, process oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with technically and non-technically skilled stakeholders to ensure 100% satisfaction.
- Ability to travel interstate and internationally as required.
