About You And The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Sustainability & Environment Coordinator to join our Western Treatment Plant project team based in Werribee, VIC.
Sustainability Responsibilities
- Contact and follow up with subcontractors to ensure the submission of sustainability reporting – maintaining the materials tracking register for all Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
- Assist the delivery of RRRC sustainability initiatives.
- Develop and submit a monthly update of materials and GHG emissions onsite to the client for inclusion in the client monthly report.
- Work with our consultant partners to deliver the Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) for the project WTP.
- Lead the tracking and reporting of NGER (National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting) each financial year.
Environment Responsibilities
- Undertake environmental inspection of the sites, delivering toolbox talks to the crew, report and closing out environmental hazards with supervision - manage the administration of any environmental incidents, actions or audits.
- Review and develop Management plans, Site Environmental Plans, SWMS, permits and construction method statements to ensure project abides by environmental law, policy and approvals.
- Update for review the client monthly report regarding environmental performance.
Requirements For The Role
- Bachelor Degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, Sustainability or other associated disciplines.
- A strong understanding of Carbon Accounting, materials, and emission factors.
- Previous experience within the infrastructure space will be ideal.
- Adaptable and able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Strong team player with the ability to manage an Undergraduate as a direct report.
- Ideally based in the Western suburbs or Geelong.
