We are seeking a skilled Design Manager to lead significant water infrastructure projects, focusing on:
- Pipelines
- Pumping stations
- Water treatment plants
- Sewage treatment plants
As the technical lead, you will oversee the review and quality assurance of both internal and external designs. You will also bring value by guiding your team and serving as a subject matter expert in water infrastructure design. Strong communication and leadership will be essential, as you will work closely with various teams and stakeholders to ensure top-tier quality, safety, and budget control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design reviews and ensure design accuracy and quality
- Serve as the primary point of contact for water infrastructure projects
- Oversee safety, quality, and budget adherence
- Collaborate with teams and stakeholders effectively
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A degree in Civil, Mechanical, Process, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering
- 8+ years of experience in a design role, with significant exposure to water projects
- Experience working on the client side, with local councils or water authorities being highly valued
- In-depth knowledge of the Australian water sector
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills
