Civil Engineer - Energy & Maritime Focus

As our involvement in the renewable energy sector—particularly in hydrogen and green ammonia—continues to expand, we're looking for a versatile Civil Engineer to join our team. This role will help us strengthen our presence in renewables and solidify our position as a technology integrator in both the energy and marine offshore industries.
About the Role
In this exciting position, you will support both onshore and offshore projects, contributing to a variety of civil engineering tasks. These include firefighting system design, pile and foundation design, and steel structural analysis. You'll utilize advanced tools such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to simulate and assess structural integrity, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design bespoke OEM equipment and offshore offloading systems.
- Develop foundations, steel structures, and other onshore facility elements.
- Perform structural calculations and FEA simulations.
- Contribute to energy transition projects and OEM manufacturing.
- Utilize tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, 3Ds Max, Rhino, and Ansys.
- Quickly adapt to new software and technologies.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in civil engineering within the oil & gas industry, focusing on marine and offshore projects.
- Proficiency in running FEA simulations for both onshore and offshore structures.
- Experience in 3D modelling using industry-standard tools.
- Strong understanding of international standards and codes for onshore/offshore applications.
- Experience in OEM equipment design, specifically for offshore offloading systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
- Expertise in 3D FEA and manufacturing applications.
- Proficiency in 3D visualization tools like 3Ds Max and Rhino.
- In-depth knowledge of international standards for both onshore and offshore projects.
