About Us
Our client is one of the world leading precision component manufacturers for Defence, Aerospace, Medical, Electronics and Commercial Engineering sectors. They are currently looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team in Adelaide.
About the role:
- Support the planning, development, implementation, communication, and maintenance of the company's quality management systems, policies, documentation, data, and customer-specific requirements.
- Report to the Quality Manager and utilize lean techniques to develop process controls that ensure transparent and effective communication.
- Prioritize adherence to AS9100D standards.
- Drive continual improvement by developing cross-functional departments to deliver products right the first time, on time, every time, in support of all customer requirements.
Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Engineering, Diploma, or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in the Defence Industry, with a proven track record of success in similar roles.
- Familiarity with technical drawings, GD&T, APQP, SPC, FMEA, Kaizen, 6 Sigma, AS9100D policies, procedures, and manufacturing concepts.
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer and analytical skills, essential for the role.
- Strong background in Quality Management with a comprehensive understanding of Quality Principles.
- Exceptional communication skills, coupled with the ability to promote teamwork and cooperation among colleagues and intra-departmental staff.
